Top side: Composed of recycled cork from the bottle-making process, steam pressed to form a flexible sheet. Cork is naturally antimicrobial and contains zero PVC’s or harmful chemicals.

All cork yoga mats are anti-microbial, which simply means they naturally resist most bacteria and moulds. This also means that unlike other yoga mats, cork mats will not develop a funk (or a funky smell for that matter)! Nevertheless, for taking care of your beautiful cork yoga mat, follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Remove any surface dirt

Step 2: With a cloth/towel and water wipe the areas you want to clean

Step 3: Leave the mat to air and dry naturally

If you wish to clean your cork yoga mat a more thorough clean, use products that aren't going to break down the materials. We recommend a solution of vinegar (10 parts water and 1 part white vinegar).

When cleaning the cork mat, avoid course scrubbers as they might speed up surface wear.

Using oil-based products on your cork yoga mat may leave residue marks. This is because the cork is porous. It will not, however, affect the mat's performance.
