Breathing – what’s it all about?

The way we breathe can be detrimental to our health and can impact hugely on our nervous cardiovascular and digestive systems and emotionally (anxiety).

Understanding the connection between the breath and the nervous system and the impact it has on our overall health and wellbeing can help improve a more balanced response within the body. In today’s fast paced world of constantly being switched on so is our breath and our sympathetic system (fight/flight).

Jen will discuss how we can learn to identify when this is occurring in our bodies and the physical and emotional effects that happen. How to identify when we are breathing incorrectly and how the simple art of learning to breathe correctly, gives you a tool to take control of the nervous system and improve your health both physically and mentally by switching on your para-sympathetic (relaxed nervous) system.

There will be an opportunity to sit with your breath as Rob will lead us in a short seated meditation before the conclusion of the workshop.
